How do I flush the keypool?

After the heartbleed vulnerability, I'm concerned that my private keys could have been compromised. I want to send all my coins to a new address with a freshly generated key.

However, if I just ask the Bitcoin Core client to generate a new address, it will just select one from the existing keypool. The keypool keys may also have been compromised, so I don't want to use them. I want a key that is really brand new.

Short of asking Bitcoin to generate hundreds of new addresses to exhaust the keypool, is there a way to flush the keypool and start getting fresh addresses?

I understand this happens when you encrypt a wallet, but I prefer not to do that. (Anyway, if my wallet was already encrypted, that wouldn't be an...

The following guide will walk you through flushing your DNS Cache. Every time you venture onto the Internet, DNS resolutions are being made and your computer stores many of them. Caching these resolutions can speed up your web activities because your computer no longer has to ask another computer where something is located.

Eventually, there will come a time when a bad entry is stored. There are generally two ways to remove these entries. First is to allow 24 hours to pass. During this time your computer will seek out and make the necessary DNS updates. Second is to flush your DNS cache.

The first step to flushing your DNS is to open your “Windows Command” prompt.

WinXP: Start, Run and then type “cmd” and press Enter. Vista, Window 7 and Windows 8: Click “Start” and type the word “Command” in the Start search field. Finally, right-click the command prompt icon and select the option to “Run as Administrator”. In the open prompt, type “ipconfig /flushdns” (without...

This page describes the algorithm used for encrypting the wallet.dat file used in the original Bitcoin client.

Wallet encryption uses AES-256-CBC to encrypt only the private keys that are held in a wallet. The keys are encrypted with a master key which is entirely random. This master key is then encrypted with AES-256-CBC with a key derived from the passphrase using SHA-512 and OpenSSL's EVP_BytesToKey and a dynamic number of rounds determined by the speed of the machine which does the initial encryption (and is updated based on the speed of a computer which does a subsequent passphrase change). Although the underlying code supports multiple encrypted copies of the same master key (and thus multiple passphrases) the client does not yet have a method to add additional passphrases.

At runtime, the client loads the wallet as it normally would, however the keystore stores the keys in encrypted form. When the passphrase is required (to top up keypool or send coins) it will...

Many devices cache DNS entries in order to speed up access to the Internet. While this is a good thing, it does mean that changes to some Getflix features (such as region settings) don't take effect immediately.

To speed things up, you can manually flush the DNS cache on many devices.

Windows PC

Step 1: Open the Command Prompt

Windows XP: Click on the Start Menu and click "Run". Type "cmd" and press Enter.

Windows Vista/7: Type "cmd" in the search bar and press Enter.

Windows 8: Press the "Win" key (windows logo key) and X on your keyboard. Click on "Command Prompt".

Step 2: Flush DNS

Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter. Type "Exit" to close the command prompt window.

In addition to these steps, it may be necessary to close and re-open your web browser.

Step 1: Open the Terminal

Navigate to Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal

Step 2: Flush DNS

Type the...

I am using asterisk 1.2.25-voiceone with xlite softphone for an IVR Solution.
Making use of the Asterisk Gateway Interface(agi) and using Perl for the logic. The input buffer does not empty itself every time i try to use the get_data function to fetch the data(input) from user. At that time somehow the input buffer is full and it doesn't accept the input character which I enter when I hear the playback file.

A temporary solution to this was to create one empty sound file named tempTT and use that in get_data for playing back that file and it works when I use get_data with tempTT file for 3 to 4 times in a loop. But again, this is a random behaviour; if buffer contains something more then I need to use tempTT file more often, may be 6 to 7 times. This is completely unacceptable solution as behaviour is randomised. Can anyone suggest me some help for this?

Wherever we get any problem of get_data not accepting input I call this function like...

I've published a website through my LTM v11.3 using a slightly modified version of the f5.http_clientssl iApp.

Shortly after, I noticed one of the static pages had an incorrect CSS file reference and amended it on the backend server. The change has not been reflected when accessing the site via the virtual server. I've tried reconfiguring the iApp, but that doesn't seem to have flushed the cache. I can't see any other obvious method for clearing the cache via the LTM GUI. The iApp has generated a 10MB 'caching profile' with the 'optimized-caching' parent profile.

For the record, I've verified it's not caching the page in my browser by trying it on several machines with several browsers. The page is responding with the amendments when I access it directly via the backend server.

We don't have any other applicable modules enabled that I can see, in particular Web Accelerator is unavailable. I tried the following from the terminal and got a response that it's not...

The DNS cache stores the IP addresses of web servers that contain web pages which you have recently viewed. Sometimes these will contain obsolete information or bad results, and need to be cleared in order for you to communicate with web servers correctly.

Please follow the steps below in order to flush your DNS cache.

This article is from the VW Technical FAQ, by with numerous contributions by Jan Vandenbrande others.

A: The basic principle is to drain the old fluid out, refill the car
with regular water and perhaps some coolant flush liquid, let the car
run for a bit (follow the instructions of the flush chemical), let it
cool, drain, fill it up with water again, run, cool, drain, repeat
until clear water comes out. Then you refill with premixed coolant
(40%-60% H2O for summer, 50%-50% or 60%-40% for colder climates).
Note that for 4 cyl cars you need to remove the thermostat housing
to drain (bottom of pump) and you refill or flush through the regular
radiator cap, though sometimes I have found it easier and faster to
just use one of the upper radiator hoses.
VR6 cars are actually easier as they have a drain plug (finally).

Following herewith are some additional details.

How to Determine Your Toilet’s Flush Volume

The flush volume of a toilet simply means how much water is released when it is flushed. To qualify for this rebate program you must be replacing a toilet currently using more than 1.6 gallons per flush. So, that means you need to know your toilet’s flush volume.

A marking or label is typically located near the toilet seat hinge on the bowl that can provide you with that information. Please note that the markings and labels are often in liters as opposed to gallons. Here’s a quick reference to help determine your toilet’s flush volume if it is listed in liters.

(Note: If your toilet has a large black cylinder inside of it instead of the standard flushing mechanism, your toilet is using 1.6 gallons per flush and does not qualify for this program.)

If you cannot locate any markings or labels near the seat hinge, check the underside of the tank lid or the tank’s back inside wall for a date stamped in the...

I play differently depending on the stages of a tournament. Earlier it's super important to hit the best hand, I'll give u an example: first of all I'll buy a cheap flop (limp - donks never fold) even if it is AKspades; an ideal flop would be ofc some extra big (flop AAA, KKK, AKK, KKA and ofc RF/flush), in this case I'm not betting flop and trying to trap ppl; a good flop will be 2 spades and a gutshot, in this case i'm chasing showdon (gutshot 3 outs + 9 outs for flush and depends on the flop if u have a pair/one overcard gives me extra outs) but i'm not going all in, I call till river (even if villain bets big) to see if I hit my straight or flush; in case I got only 1 spade and 1 pair and someone bets big in this case I give up on the flop (in most cases I will not hit and do damage to my stack - that's why I prefer to limp with good hands, limping gives u a chance to see more flops) .

Later in a tournament I semibluff my opponnents with a flush...

Toilet Filter: After putting down a new floor and re-installing, my toilet won't flush all the way. I've completely rebuilt the guts (new fill mechanism, new flush valve, new flapper), I've maximized the tank fill, plunged and augerred, and even used muriatic acid to clean the jets (though I might not have done it correctly), with no results. (More Inside...)

Some additional info:

- When I pour a couple of gallons of water from a bucket, it flushes without any problem.

- I've replaced my flapper and entire flush valve -- I'm certain that it's operating properly and that the flapper opens fully and stays open for long enough.

- The FluidMaster fill/float mechanism that I bought doesn't fill the tank to the old line -- even when it is adjusted to its maximum setting -- but when I manually keep the float down and allow the tank to fill to just below the overflow pipe, the flush still doesn't execute.

- The muriatic acid fix that I tried came from...

If you're looking for a happy medium between a short 7 day flush and a yield inhibiting 14 day flush, just split the difference and go with a 10 day flush.

One thing i'd suggest to get the best results in the least amount of time, is to empty the rez, flush for an hour or two, then re-empty the rez and continue from there. This way, instead of having your PPM go from 1200 to 650 (as there's always still some 1200 water still in the table, buckets, etc), you bring it from 1200 to 650 then down even more to 200 or something, for the full flush.

When I flush with RO (10ppm) within a week the PPM rises to around 100ppm (those 90ppm is what's flushed out of the medium minus what the plants are consuming). When that 100ppm drops back below 50 (plants consuming) I know it's ready. About 10 days...

Have you ever used a toilet that didn’t flush well? Stuck with the embarrassing obligation of waiting in the bathroom until you are able to flush the toilet again? This problem makes it harder to keep your toilet bowl clean and wastes water since you have to flush more than one time. Here are some home remedies that will help improve the overall power of your toilet flush!

Step #1: Figure out if your toilet is clogged. You can do this by pouring a gallon of water into your toilet and flushing it. If the toilet doesn’t flush efficiently then you most likely have a clogged toilet. You can unclog a toilet with a standard plunger or snake. If you don’t have either of these, you can check out our previous post on how to unclog a toilet without one. However, if the toilet does seem to flush properly than you can move on.

Step #2: Remove the toilet tank cover. Check to see if the water level in the tank is even with the designated line. If the water level isn’t matched up...
